GOVT. BILASA GIRLS P.G. (AUTO)COLLEGE, BILASPUR was established in the year 1961. The courses run by the college have been duly approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The college is affiliated to Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur (C.G.)

The college has adopted UGC-Model syllabi in different syllabi and is well suited for NET and various other examinations of National repute.

The disciplined environment, dedicated faculty wide arena of subjects offered make it truly a "Centre of Excellence. Being recognized as the College with Potential for Excellence by the UGC, the college has greater responsibility to undertake in the field of Higher Education. The overall organizational structure, its management, infrastructure, teaching evaluation pattern counselling aspects of our institute were responsible to secure B+ Grade by National Accreditation & Academic Council (NAAC).

The College has an excellent Central Library having a wide collection of books and subscribe various journals to cater the academic needs of the students and faculties.

The laboratories are well equipped. Conferences and Seminars of National / Regional / State / Local levels are organized frequently to provide exposure to the students and the faculty members.

Research and extension are inherent of several Post Graduate Programmes offered by the college.
